Applications can now be submitted for 2024 entry onto the University of Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year. Applications are submitted through the UCAS website where you can find all of our available course pathways as well as further information about the academic entrance requirements.
The Astrophoria Foundation Year is a one-year fully-funded programme for UK state school students with significant academic potential, who have experienced personal disadvantage or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme. There are course pathways available in humanities, science, law and PPE. Students who pass the programme at the required level can progress onto undergraduate study at Oxford if they wish to without the need to reapply through the competitive application process.
Please ensure you have checked that you meet the 2024 entry eligibility requirements before applying. The latest eligibility guide and quiz can be found on our eligibility page. Please note there has been a recent change to Category 2 of this criteria which means more prospective students will now meet the eligibility criteria.
The application deadline for the Astrophoria Foundation Year courses is 31 January 2024. Please note you can only apply for one Oxbridge course in any UCAS cycle, this applies to both undergraduate and foundation year courses at the two universities.
