"Outside of my studies, I’ve really enjoyed attending cultural and social events open to students, especially those that explore the University of Oxford’s history. It’s been a great way to learn more about the University beyond my subject and to feel more connected to its traditions and community.

Oxford as a city is cute and small. I like that everything is within walking distance — it makes it easy to get around and feel settled quickly.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learnt during my first term at Oxford has been the value of showing my work in logical steps. Taking the time to structure my thinking clearly has made a real difference to how I approach problems.

Next term, I’m particularly looking forward to starting Organic Chemistry, which is my favourite topic. I’m excited to deepen my knowledge in this area. I’m also looking forward to seeing how much I’ve improved since the start of the course, especially when tackling new and unfamiliar problems."
