In February, the historic Divinity School at Oxford University played host to a special celebration for the Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme. Held in the grandeur of one of Oxford's most iconic venues, the reception marked an important milestone for the students and the programme.
The event provided a chance for the students to engage with the Oxford community and experience the unique atmosphere of the university, reflecting the Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme’s commitment to broadening horizons and creating new opportunities for all its students. Current students, Maira Khan and Ali Sultan, spoke about their experiences on the course so far, highlighting the unique opportunities and emphasising the enriching academic journey.
Professor Irene Tracey, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, and Professor Martin Williams, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), were also in attendance to meet with the students, underscoring the importance of the Astrophoria Foundation Year Programme in fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community at Oxford.
